It’s vital that you get the right compression stockings size for your legs. Wearing the wrong size compression stocking can be very uncomfortable and can make them even more difficult to put on. Not only that, but wearing compression stockings in the wrong size can actually make a condition worse.

To help make finding the right size compression garments easier, we here at Compression Stockings have put together a collection of sizing charts and tables for a range of Sigvaris compression garments. All sizes are in centimetres.

How To Measure For Sigvaris Compression Stockings

Most of Sigvaris’ compression stockings use the same system for measuring compression stockings; however different models use different size measurements.

To measure yourself for a knee high Sigvaris compression stocking, measure your calf at its thickest point (point c) and your ankle at its thinnest point (point b). Match these measurements up with the correct table to find the right size for you. Measure the length of your leg from the bottom of your knee down to your foot (points A to D) to find the length you need.

For a thigh high Sigvaris compression stocking, measure points c and b as well as the circumference of your thigh at its thickest point (point m), using the ‘Thigh’ measurement in the table if applicable. To find out the length you need, measure your leg from the top of your thigh down to your foot (points A to G) to find the length you need.

For a pair of Sigvaris compression tights, measure points c, b and m, using the ‘Thigh For Tights’ measurement if applicable. You should also measure the circumference of your hip and check that against the size to make sure it will fit correctly around your waist.
