Who Can Benefit from the JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings?

These stockings have been meticulously crafted to meet the needs of any women wanting comfortable compression therapy. They are soft yet durable, provide effective compression, and closely resemble a standard pair of knee high fashion stockings for discreet and stylish wear.

What Conditions Are the JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings Suitable For?

The JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings have a Class 1 compression class, and can therefore be used to treat a range of mild venous and lymphatic conditions. These indications are listed below.

Indications

The JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings are suitable for the following applications and conditions:

  • Aching legs or mild fatigue
  • Mild swelling in the legs
  • Preventing varicose or spider veins during pregnancy
  • Getting additional support on active days
  • Improving blood circulation

Why Should You Choose the JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings?

  • Exceptionally soft and comfortable compression stockings
  • Suitable for casual or professional wear
  • Anatomically designed to fit comfortably against your legs
  • Broad knee welt stops the stockings from bunching or sliding down
  • Double-covered inlaid yarns mean the stockings can be put on and take off easily
  • Yarns are highly durable at the same time, and the stockings have a reinforced foot area
  • Opaque colour helps to cover blemishes and uneven skin tone on the legs

How Do the JOBST Compression Stockings Work?

Venous issues like lymphoedema can develop when blood does not circulate around your body effectively, and instead starts to pool in your arms and legs. To effectively relieve such symptoms in your legs, JOBST compression stockings apply gradient compression starting from your upper legs down to your ankles, prompting the movement of blood.

What Colour Are These Stockings?

These stockings have an opaque dark blue colour which can be worn for on both casual and professional occasions. This range also includes a number of other colours including black and sand.

Why Should I Trust the JOBST Opaque Stockings?

The JOBST Opaque stockings have undergone strict quality controls and testing during their production. They also adhere to the guidelines of the International Lymphoedema Framework, you can be sure that they will be able to effectively alleviate your symptoms.

Is It Easy to Put the JOBST Opaque Stockings On?

Compression stockings can be tricky to put on as they are made to fit so tightly against the skin. However, due to their soft yarns and natural cotton composition, the JOBST Explore Stockings can be slid on and off with minimal fuss.

Are the JOBST Opaque Compression Stockings Comfortable?

These compression stockings are designed to provide outstanding comfort, so you'll be able to wear them for extended periods with no trouble at all. Their durable yarns have a soft, stretchy feel, and their anatomical design ensures they fit snugly around the contours of your leg. On top of this, they are also moisture-wicking, so you won't have to worry about perspiration or odour.

What Kind of Grip Top Do These Stockings Have?

The JOBST Opaque Stockings have a plain knitted top band for maximum comfort and a reduced risk of irritation. However, some people may still prefer a textured grip-top like a dotted silicon band as it holds the stockings in place more securely and eliminates the need for any stocking glue.

Which Level of Compression Do I Need?

These stockings have a compression level of RAL Class 1, meaning they apply 18 - 21mmHg of gradient pressure to your legs. This is considered a light level of compression, suitable for treating milder conditions like chronic fatigue and pain, or for wear during travel. If you aren't sure which compression level you need, speak to your doctor.

Simplified Sizing

While the above sizing chart is ideal if you are looking for a pair of stockings that fit you exactly, the sizing can be difficult to take and match to the sizing chart. With our simplified sizing, you only need to take three measurements:

  • The circumference of the thigh (i.e. where the stockings would end)
  • The circumference of the kneecap
  • The circumference of the ankle

Once you have these measurements, please match your results to the table below. If you fall between a couple of different sizes, we would recommend choosing the size for which you match the most measurements.

Size Thigh Kneecap Ankle
Size I 43 - 48cm 30 - 37cm 18 - 20cm
Size II 45 - 52cm 33 - 40cm 20 - 22cm
Size III 49 - 56cm 35 - 43cm 22 - 24cm
